This is a 3 wagon triptych and is developed around the idea of the chemistry of interstellar molecular clouds.

Two of the wagons in this ensemble are representative of the complex organic molecules that are found in these molecular clouds. often these are precursors to life and it has been proposed that indeed these clouds are the places where life makes the transition from the inorganic world (Panspermia Theory). These Clouds are also host to stellar nurseries. So both the origin of stars and planets and also the potential for seeding these habitats with Life happens in the same locality. The middle wagon is an emulation of the electrical plasma process. Atomic nuclei and free electrons are represented as freely floating around in unstable electro-magnetic 'soup'. Plasma processes are important in the transmutation of elements, the assembly of molecules and the initiation of Life.

This series of artworks function as a commentary on the methodology of contemporary scientific model-making. In that instance we have seen the inadequacies of the process multiplied by the use of supercomputers. In these works, that potential for error is overcome by the use of the phenomenology of the model railway environment and associated mechanics.
