Paul Malone : Movies : Heavenly Hydrocarbons

Heavenly Hydrocarbons 2007 (2014 remaster).

One of my first movies, 'Heavenly Hydrocarbons' is a choreographic study of a series of liquid events. Fountains of what appear to be jets of oil geyser around the screen and form patterns and dynamics reminiscent of nebulae and galaxies in Space. As such it parallels the discovery of large amouts of aromatic hydrocarbons in molecular clouds and the outer planets of the Solar System.

The movie uses split screen techniques and variable speeds and was filmed at the decorative fountains adjacent to the O2, London
