Paul Malone : 00 Scale : Ghost Trains

This series is of extended linear prints on Fabriano paper. The imagery is constructed from multiple scans of locomotives and wagons placed directly on the scanner glass. These are then assembled in Photoshop and the layers compressed. The track is processed in the same way and then distorted by perspective. The result is an image that appears to float above the tracks as if disembodied and with an ephemeral ontology.
